Add together, move, or import contacts

You can save names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, and more in Google Contacts.

Contacts saved to your Google Account will sync with Google Contacts and all your Android devices.

Add together a contact

  1. On your estimator, get to Google Contacts.
  2. At the superlative left, click Create contact.
  3. Click Create contact or Create multiple contacts.
  4. Enter the contact'southward data.
  5. Click Salve.

Import contacts

From a file

  1. On your computer, go to Google Contacts.
  2. At the left, clickImport.
  3. ClickSelect File.
  4. Choose your file.
  5. Click Import.

From a Gmail account

Footstep 1: Export existing Gmail contacts

  1. On your estimator, go to Google Contacts
  2. At the left, click Consign.
  3. Select which contacts to export.
  4. Select Google CSV.
  5. Click Consign.
  6. At the top right, click your contour pic and thenSign out.

Step two: Import the file

  1. On your estimator, go to Google Contacts, and then sign in with your other Gmail business relationship.
  2. At the left, click Import.
  3. ClickSelect File.
  4. Choose your file.
  5. Click Import.

Can't import my contacts

You tin can have problems when:

  • Yous import more than iii,000 contacts at a time. If yous have more 3,000 contacts, split them into multiple CSVs earlier you import them.
  • Y'all reach the limit of 25,000 contacts. Larn well-nigh contact size limits.
  • The contacts aren't formatted to work with Google Contacts. Make sure your contacts are saved as a vCard or CSV file.

Control who's automatically saved to your contacts

If yous email someone only you haven't added them as a contact, Google Contacts automatically saves their email address in your "Other contacts" group. Their electronic mail address will show up the next fourth dimension you lot email them.
